The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association is offering a scholarship in the amount of $750 to students pursuing a college degree (Associates and/or Bachelors) in a business-related field of study. Please see the attached application if interested. Deadline to submit completed applications is March 24, 2016. The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, Sigma Chapter, is pleased to make available a scholarship in the amount of $500 to a student who meets the following requirements:

The R. L. Flanagan Memorial Scholarship will be given to a graduating high school senior who is pursuing a college education. The amount of the scholarship is $1000 (one time only), which will be sent to the applicant after the Savannah Alumni receives an Official Copy of Proof of Attending from the 4 year college or university or 2 year college that the student is attending. Eligibility Criteria: Senior must have earned at least a 2.5 GPA; Accepted to a 4 year college/university or a 2 year community college; Must demonstrate a financial need. Attached are the Scholarship Requirements. Please return all completed items to Mrs. Tyndall in the counseling center by Tuesday, April 5th so that applications can be mailed as one complete package to the appropriate location by the deadline.
The North Carolina Society of Accountants Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1970 to provide scholarships for deserving students who indicate a desire to enter the profession of Accounting. The scholarship awards for 2016-2017 school year will be $600 each. The eligibility requirements for the scholarships are detailed in the attached letter to the applicant. The Golden Leaf Scholarship Application is now open. The Golden Leaf Scholarship program is open to High School seniors, from qualifying counties, attending college Fall 2016 OR Community College students, from qualifying counties, transferring to a four-year institution Fall 2016. Attached is a flyer with more information. The application and more information can be accessed online at www.cfnc.org/goldenleaf. The deadline for submission is March 1, 2016. Attached is the application for the Pink Hill Ruritan Scholarship. The Pink Hill Ruritan Club annually provides financial assistance to students to further their education past high school through the Build Your Dollars Grant Program. The Pink Hill Ruritan Club awards this grant based on financial need but does not overlook academic success, community and extracurricular involvement. In order to apply, applicants must live in the Pink Hill area of Lenoir County. Completed applications are due to Mrs. Tyndall in the counseling center by March 18th. Letters of recommendation must be included.
The North Carolina Chapter of AABE is seeking qualified applicants to award both local and national scholarship awards. Attached is the information required to apply for the scholarships. The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national associaiton of energy professional founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the dicussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues. Through its Scholarship Program, AABE seeks to help increase the number of African Americans, Hispanics, and Native Americans (underrepresented minorities) in energy related fields. By doing so, we help our nation address a critical need and a challenge to our future economic vitality in the world market. AABE awards sholarships based on several traditional and non-traditional criteria. Attached is an application for the scholarship award. Highly qualified students will be automatically selected and considered for the National Scholarship process will not require futher action. The North Carolina Bar Association is seeking high school seniors who may qualify for the scholarship program for children of North Carolina Law Enforcement Officers who were killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty. The Kathleen Morrissey Klutey Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established for graduating seniors at South Lenoir, Kinston High and North Lenoir. The scholarship is named for Kathleen M. Klutey, who worked as a counselor at South Lenoir for 21 years. Mrs. Kluteyconsistently encouraged her students to aim high and consider a broader range of schools when applying to college. The scholarship will provide a one-time grant of $5,000 for the selected recipient to apply towards educational expenses at a four-year college or university, with some preference given to students attending an out-of-state institution.
