Please Save the Date for next Thursday, October 4th for CFNC's Financial Aid Night. This event will be held at the LCC Main Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. This is an important session about the "ins and outs" of Financial Aid. Don't miss it! Hope to see you there!
Please SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, October 27th from 9am - 12 pm - FAFSA Day! Completing the FAFSA is the first step to pay for college. Financial Aid campuses around the state are hosting FAFSA Day, an event where families bring their information to get individualized help filling out the FAFSA. Take advantage of this FREE assistance and register TODAY at https://www.onlineregistrationcenter.com/register/222/page1.asp?m=227&c=2949. The FAFSA application opens October 1st. There are a few things you need to do in advance before starting your FAFSA application: 1. Both the student AND a parent should create an FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov. Some parents may have already created an ID if they completed the FAFSA for another child or themselves. 2. Make sure you have your 2017 tax information.

Pink Hill Elementary is seeking student volunteers to assist at their Fall Festival on November 2nd. They need volunteers to run games and/or ticket stands. If you are interested, please contact Ms. Crystal Murphy via email [email protected].
If you are interested in pursing a degree in nursing, Ms. Kelly Cleaton from the ECU RIBN program will be at South Lenoir on Wednesday, September 12th at 9:15 in Mrs. Jessica Hill's room to discuss the RIBN program and requirements.
On Saturday, September 15th the Joe Mike Baker 5k and Fun Run will be here at South Lenoir High School in the student parking lot area. You can volunteer to help with set up, clean up, water stations, and assisting the runners when they cross the finish line with water and/or snacks. Volunteer opportunity at the Lenoir County Fair, a 501C3 non-profit organization. positions needed: Ticket sellers, ticket takers, counters, survey distributors, etc. for the week of October 18-27. Also, they are seeking volunteers to help set up the Agriculture Building.
