Fayetteville State University will be hosting a Fall Preview on October 11, 2014 for juniors and seniors interested in attending the college. To register, visit www.uncfsu.edu/admissions/fallpreview. The University of Virginia will be hosting an evening program in Raleigh on Thursday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. to give insights into the admission process and provide information from recent graduates. For more information, please stop by the counseling center for a brochure. Any sophomore who is interested in applying for the the HOBY (Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Award) , Please go by the Counseling Center and give your name to Mrs. Greer. Students must have leadership potential, a strong GPA and be willing to attend a weekend seminar at NC State University in the summer.
The PSAT is open to all 11th and 10th grade students. The test will be Wednesday Oct. 15th and is given here at school. Please go by the Counseling Center to sign up. The cost is $14.00. You must have your money in order to sign up. There is a limited number of tests so it is a first come, first serve basis. **Juniors taking the PSAT can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship.** 10/6/14 - If interested in applying for HOBY, please stop by the counseling center to receive an essay prompt. Completed essays are due to the counseling center by Friday, October 24, 2014. |
