Each year, the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association’s philanthropic arm—the NCRLA Foundation—awards a wide variety of scholarships to students across the state of North Carolina. These funds support the pursuit of higher education for future hospitality leaders who want to continue their education. The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship offers college scholarships of up to $40,000 for high school seniors nationwide who showcase leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. DEADLINE: JANUARY 5TH For more information: https://www.reaganfoundation.org/education/scholarship-programs/ge-reagan-foundation-scholarship-program/ The McDonald's HACER National Scholarship Program will offer scholarships to up to 30 outstanding Hispanic students from all over the country. Funds are aimed to help recipients finance their college tuition, and there are three tiers. Tier 1 recipients will be awarded up to $100,000. Tier 2 recipients will receive $20,000 or $10,000 and Tier 3 recipients will receive $5,000. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievement, community involvement, personal statement and financial need. To date, more than $5 million in McDonald’s HACER National Scholarships have been awarded to Hispanic students across the country. To apply: You must meet these following requirements:

This is not needs or achievement based; it is a passion-based scholarship program.
To apply: Submit an original video that tells us the story of your real, driving passion. It could be a short film, animation or just a simple testimonial. Your video must be a maximum of 2 minutes in length (minimum of 30 seconds in length) and must be no larger than 100 MB to ensure successful upload to the application. DEADLINE: JANUARY 11TH For more Information: https://www.tacobellfoundation.org/live-mas-scholarship/ The SME Education Foundation annually awards millions of dollars in scholarships to graduating high school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students pursuing two-year, four-year or advanced degrees in manufacturing or engineering. SME Education Foundation has awarded $18 million to over 5,000 students since 2005. Graduating high school seniors as well as students pursuing two-year, four-year or graduate degrees in manufacturing or engineering are eligible to apply for scholarships.

Please see the attached flyer for a link to the application. JRF Scholars receive grants of up to $30,000 over four years to supplement the financial aid they receive from their colleges or universities. In addition, Scholars receive extensive support services, including career guidance and internship placement, and attend JRF’s annual four-day "Mentoring and Leadership Conference" in New York City and other regional events throughout the year.
