The R.L. Flanagan Memorial Scholarship is now available for current high school seniors. The application is online at https://www.shsafa.org/new-page-2. In addition to the electronic application, there are other components that must be mailed in one complete package. Please see the details in the application for the mailing address to send the supplementary materials. The full complete application is due by April 22.

The NCCF is pleased to announce the Joyce Price Johnson's Samaritan scholarship for students in Wayne County and its contiguous counties, Johnston, Wilson, Green, Lenoir, Duplin and Sampson. See the informational flyer attached. Eligible students are young people exiting foster care or living in poverty in North Carolina who wish to continue their education at a college, university, community college, or other accredited institution. Primary consideration will be given to young people from Wayne County, or secondarily, from counties which are contiguous to Wayne County. Applicants will be considered based on academic achievement, financial need and essay. Applications are due April 30. Please see below for 4 scholarship opportunities for Lenoir county graduates. Please view attached application for eligibility requirements. Students do not have to be members of Westminster Church to apply. Good morning, Every year, on behalf of the contributing families, the Trustee Committee of Westminster United Methodist Church offers four scholarships to graduating seniors in Lenoir County. (Students do not have to reside in Lenoir County but must be a graduate of a school in the county.) Each scholarship is $1000 and is payable directly to the accepting college of the seniors selected by the Trustees. Attached you will find the application packet required for consideration as a possible recipient of the available scholarships. Completed application packets must be received at the Westminster church office NO LATER THAN 2:00pm on APRIL 15, 2022 for review by the Trustee Committee.

The Kinston Civitan Club is pleased to once again provide a scholarship in the amount of $200.00 to a graduating senior. The application is attached. Please provide copies to interested seniors who plan to major in Education or a Human Services related field. Questions may be directed to Mary Williams via email or by phone at 252-523-3496.
This scholarship will be awarded to promising high school seniors with disabilities who plan to attend a vocational or academic college and target a career in the technology industry. The scholarships are renewable – each winner who continues to meet the criteria is eligible to receive an annual award of $5,000 for up to four (4) consecutive years for a potential total $20,000 scholarship.
