Betsy Justus was the North Carolina Technology Association's (NCTA) founding CEO, a pioneer among women in technology, and a North Carolina leader. Upon her passing in the summer of 2011, NCTA created a scholarship in her name to support young women in North Carolina who are pursuing an academic and career path in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM), with an emphasis on technology and engineering. The scholarship is a now a $4,000 grant in the amount of $1,000 per year of 4 standard years of college and there are two recipients each year. The scholarship winner also gets a personal computer provided by Lenovo. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements (Deadline May 31).
